Leo Lavezza

Associate Financial Planner
Role at The Consulate:
I would describe my role at The Consulate as having a hand in every cookie jar. First and foremost, I help prepare for and participate in plan reviews, Financial Physicals®, and many other client meetings. Moreover, I help with back office functions to help meet the needs of clients and advisors alike. That could mean helping to prepare documents for clients to complete or assisting where needed to process tax returns and documents.
Educational Background:
I graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Towson University where I majored in business administration with a concentration in financial planning and minored in accounting. I was also an active member of Towson University’s business honor society.
Most Meaningful Part of My Job:
Many times, a client’s financial situation is like a puzzle. There are a lot of pieces in the box, but they may not seem connected. Playing a role in helping clients connect the pieces of their financial puzzle to create a seamless and understandable end product is the most rewarding part of my job.
Outside the Office:
Since I began working at my father’s home improvement business at age 13, I have enjoyed building new things from the ground up or doing large remodeling projects. Some of the most exciting projects I have worked on include building decks, remodeling bathrooms, and building a table from an old whiskey barrel and reclaimed barn siding. I have felt most excited tearing something down and then building it again from the ground up.
