Our Methodology
Triune Planning
We have created a methodology we call TRIUNE PLANNING. A truly comprehensive financial plan consists of Life Planning, Financial Planning and Information Planning.
Life Planning
The core of every successful financial plan is Life Planning—the values and goals that drive your decisions in life. Financial planning recommendations not aligned with your values and goals stand little chance of being realized and may even force you to alter your values and goals.
Financial Planning
Financial Planning flows naturally once your plan for life has been clearly articulated. Financial Planning covers net worth, cash flow, insurance, education, tax, investment, retirement and estate planning (and their many derivatives).
Information Planning
Information Planning is the necessary and perpetual third step to ensure the proper information is maintained and available for retrieval.
The Financial Consulate™ is Redefining Wealth.
Money, Riches & Wealth is more than the name of our radio show. There is greater meaning behind those words. If you trace the history of those words, you’ll find that that money and riches meant something quite similar to what they imply today. On the other hand, the word wealth has become synonymous with an abundance of money and riches. The original meaning of wealth was closer to a word with far deeper meaning—contentment.
Our tagline is Redefining Wealth, but really, we are simply reclaiming the original meaning. We know that fulfillment in life is not derived from the mere accumulation of currency and investments, but from true wealth—contentment. Your true wealth will be your own unique lifestyle, portfolio and net worth statement.
A Strong Foundation
These concepts have been the foundation for this company for over 30 years. We have partnered with individuals, families and companies to bring clarity about their own wealth in the form of a personalized, comprehensive financial planning service– the Financial Physical®. Over 1,000 households have chosen us to be their ongoing financial planner through Personal Financial Management which includes discretionary asset management.
We know there is no way we can have great relationships with our clients without trust, and also know we have to both earn and maintain that trust. That is why we are one of the few advisory firms worldwide that are part of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA). Our active membership and participation in NAPFA requires that we act as a true fiduciary at all times, never accepting commissions or referral kickbacks (fee-only). We also maintain the highest level of continuing education required in the financial planning industry.
Free To Come; Free To Go.
Finally, trust cannot be maintained in the presence of manipulation or confinement, hence our policy “Free to Come; Free to Go.” Many who’ve dealt with the financial industry have been given the “red carpet treatment” to become clients, but then found they suffered various forms of penalties if they chose to leave. Surrender charges, account closing fees and arm-twisting guilt trips are all too common. Our pledge is that we will bless you, coming or going. You will not face any surrender charges or account closing fees if you want to leave us and we will work diligently to help you move. Trust is best preserved in an environment of freedom, which is one of our six core values.
P.T. Barnum said, “Money is a terrible master but an excellent servant.” We believe that money, in and of itself, is not powerful. Money is simply a neutral tool to enhance relationships, which is the essence of true wealth. Now that is powerful.
