Drew Tignanelli, CPA, CFP®
Founder & Chairman
Wealth Advisor
Role at The Consulate:
As an advocate for individuals and their financial needs, I am passionate about facilitating educational opportunities about financial services and serving as an instructor for seminars to institutions such as Johns Hopkins University and state and local governments via the Community College of Baltimore County. As a wealth advisor, I am highly involved in conducting Financial Physicals®, fostering new and existing client relations, engaging with clients regarding tax planning and preparation, and handling the firm’s media relations. I specialize in tax planning, estate planning, investment planning, and retirement planning. On Wednesday evenings starting at 6:00, you can find me hosting Money, Riches & Wealth, a live radio show covering all areas of personal finance, airing on WCBM AM 680.
Educational Background:
I earned my bachelor’s degree from Towson University. I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) practitioner, and a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA).
Favorite Financial Topic to Discuss with Clients:
My favorite financial topic to discuss with clients is minimizing taxes. The tax system can be unfair to low-income and above-average income individuals and I aim to minimize the effects that taxes have on clients. I truly enjoy helping people navigate their income tax situations.
Outside the Office:
My wife, Bev, and I primarily live out of our home in Amelia Island, Florida, but I spend tax season up in Maryland near the firm’s Hunt Valley office. Bev and I enjoy cooking together, hosting guests, and complementing the meals we cook with our favorite wines.
