Chris O’Shea, CPA, CFP®
Chief Investment Officer
Wealth Advisor
Role at The Consulate:
At The Consulate, I am the point-person for the investment team overseeing the investments of the company’s clients. We make decisions regarding which investments we want to pursue, monitor current investments and markets, and adapt the strategies we use as needed. Additionally, as a wealth advisor myself, I work with clients to help them find strategies that will lead them closer to their financial goals related to tax planning, estate planning, investment planning, and retirement planning. Every few weeks you can also find me co-hosting Money, Riches & Wealth live on the radio with Drew.
Educational Background:
I earned by bachelor’s degree from Towson University, where I majored in business with concentrations in finance and accounting. I am a CPA and have also earned my Certified Financial Planner™ designation.
Best Part of Working with Clients:
The investing side and financial planning side of my job both demand a lot of research, which I enjoy. I like sharing the research I find with clients and helping them implement planning strategies. Half my time is spent completing research and the other half involves interacting with people in a meaningful way where I get to help others navigate their financial situation and future.
Outside the Office:
When I am not in the office, I enjoy living an active lifestyle and spending time with my family. I have fun playing basketball and golf and exercising in general. I occasionally hike and rock climb with my daughters. One of our favorite spots to go is near Annapolis Rock.
